Custodial and Facility Maintenance

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, shops, and entrance areas
Empty trash cans for proper disposal; separation of recyclables for certain materials
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums,
Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas, including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds
Identify and report to supervisor when supplies are needed
Regular and reliable attendance
Performs other duties as required as needed by management
Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
Perform mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup with attention to detail
Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
Attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions effectively
