Custodial and Facility Maintenance

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
- Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, shops, and entrance areas
- Empty trash cans for proper disposal; separation of recyclables for certain materials
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
- Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
- Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums,
- Performs general repairs and maintenance for all areas, including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of the buildings and grounds
- Identify and report to supervisor when supplies are needed
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Performs other duties as required as needed by management
- Occasionally works in wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
- Perform mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup with attention to detail
- Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior cleaning or janitorial experience
- Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
- Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
